People forget that Trump is a NeoCon and has been all along. He NEVER truly opposed the Bush/Clinton Dynasty, he served the same people that they did and a good evidence of that is his pardoning of Scooter Libby, a Dick Cheney guy, who was a major component in the Illegal Iraq War that even Trump claimed he was opposed to.
